We are Marilen Alison Schwald and Stefanie Céline Fehr – the co-founders behind womenmatter/s
A few years ago we were looking for the right network, attended various 'Lunch & Learns' and other events to pursue our desire for an active exchange with other career women. We did find women's networks, but they all seemed quite old-fashioned – and that didn't suit us. Also, these women were always much more advanced in their careers and sometimes seemed unapproachable or their success unattainable. Some even had this men-hater mentality, which didn't sit well with us either. We don't see ourselves as victims and don't find men categorically stupid. That's why we founded womenmatter/s. A modern network and career development program that is perfectly tailored to women and their concerns. We have completely different personalities, yet we have a lot in common. While Mary is outgoing and sees opportunity in everything, Stef is introverted with a scientific focus. We complement each other perfectly, allowing us to work together towards our ultimate goal: to support, empower and celebrate more career women so that together we can fill the long-term female talent pipeline.
